Trimming Tip

 

• Hold the paw firmly while trimming the nails. Use a single stroke to cut off the top of the nail quickly.
• Sure the handle at the bottom of the file makes the nail smooth.
• Avoid cutting off too much at once. If your pet’s nails are long, trim a small amount and wait about a week to ten days before trimming again. Repeat this process every week or ten days until the nails reach the desired length.
• Cut perpendicular to the nail, avoiding extreme angles and staying away from the quick.
